HOW TO SHARE (TETHER) AN ANDROID PHONE INTERNET CONNECTION WITH A COMPUTER

HOW TO SHARE (TETHER) A ANDROID PHONE INTERNET CONNECTION WITH A COMPUTER

Before you can share or tether your phones internet connection with your computer successfully you have to install all your phones drivers using PDA.net because when you plugged your tecno n3 or android  phone to computer, tablet or laptop for the first time only a few of your phone drivers are installed on your computer.

You can verify this when you connect your phone to your computer via USB cable.
Right click on my computer, select properties and click on device manager. You will notice observe about four Qualcomm drivers (tecno phones) are having yellow warning signs which indicates that they are not installed .

To fix this you will have to download and install PdA.NET which will be used to install the missing drivers.

STEPS TO INSTALLING PDA.NET
  1. Download and install the compactible version of PDA.net for your PC OS here
  2. Connect your phone to your PC.
  3. Enable USB debugging on your Android phone in Settings > Applications > Development.
  4. During the installation you'll be prompted to select your cell phone manufacturer and also connect your device via USB.
  5. Click on ok and allow to install

     6.  Disconnect your phone from your computer or laptop.

  3. Hey Tim, impressive work. Keep it up.

I use a Techno M3 and have no issues tethering it to my laptop via USB. But when it comes to wireless, it connects but tells me there is no internet access.

It actually worked once, then it stopped and hasn't don so since. Other devices can connect to it wirelessly (phones and laptops) but my HD Pavilion dv3 is the only one that doesn't work.

    Help?

  4. Jay @ I suggest you go to your wireless connection manager on the task bar of your HP pavilion laptop and delete the hotspot setting I.e the one that doesn't connect. search for it again and connect on your PC. If it doesn't work create a new hotspot setting on your phone it should work this time but you will have to connect all the other devices again.
